Unconditional Love
|
 |
We humans love when it is convenient for
us. We love our kids when they are clean and well
behaved but when they have broken our favorite china or
the police call for us to pick them up at the station,
that's another story. That's quite a bit harder. We may
even say, "I love him but I'd like to kill him or beat
the _____ out of him." This is all part of being human;
it comes along with the body, emotions and personality
of being human. But it needn't be that way.
With our angels' help we can experience their reality
and choose to live another way. When you put yourself in
the angels' plane of reality, you begin to see things
and feel the way they do. Suddenly, you are able to look
at another's situation compassionately and
empathetically. When your friend hurts from life's
travails, you cry in empathy for their pain. It is
similar to the great sadness one feels when their
beloved child receives a serious injury. And even though
we realize that the situation is of their own making, we
still cry in acknowledgement of their pain. This is
non-judgmental compassion and it is the stuff of which
angels are made.
The next step above compassion is unconditional love.
This is a state of consciousness in which God, the
angels and ascended masters live in continuously. When
people have a near death experience, they nearly
unanimously report a deep sense of being surrounded by
unconditional love when they get to the heavenly plane.
For the first time they feel totally accepted just the
way they are as if they are the most precious and prized
being in the world. Their imagined faults are ignored
and this phenomenal love envelops them. All their
earthly concern, fears, angers dissolve in this most
blessed love. But alas, this state is abruptly ended as
they hurtle back down to earth. They all report a strong
desire to return and many lose their fear of death
completely and are actually anxious to die from that
time forward.
But this state of mind called unconditional love can be
experienced here on earth. Many saints and masters who
lived on earth were capable of it. Examples would be
Jesus, Mary, Buddha and perhaps Mother Teresa. When
Mother Teresa was interviewed once she was asked how she
could physically take care of the filthy, smelly poor of
India. She said, "Because when I look at them I see the
face of my Lord." The reporter took this as a nice
saying and jotted it down. She touched his arm and said,
"This is not just a nice thought but the absolute truth.
When I look at them I see His face."
Believe me when I tell you that you are loved like that
by your angels. When they look at you they see you
perfect just as you truly are. They look past your
beliefs and your emotions. It matters not what you do
for a living or how you spend your time or what you eat
or don't eat. It matters not what your belief system is
even if it includes not believing in God. They don't
care. They capture the real you, that precious spark of
light within you which is a tiny bit of God. And they
love it; just simply love you with all their beings.
I speak from experience when I tell you that with their
help we can experience it here and now. We can both love
others and feel loved unconditionally while still on
earth. Once, while praying for a person at group I was
overwhelmed by the angel's love for her as they filled
me with unconditional love for her. It didn't matter
what she did for a living, what she believed, what
emotions she was feeling, nothing mattered. The love I
had for her was all that mattered as I stood in
adoration of her beautiful, bright, shining spirit. In
that moment I knew what heaven was; it is loving and
being loved unconditionally. Nothing satisfies and
fulfills like it.
I am praying now and asking God and His angels to share
this remarkable feeling with you. I am believing that
you can ask and receive this most precious blessing.
Amen
